From The Associated Press; Bloomberg Businessweek ~ Oct 22, 2010 FORT WORTH, Texas General Motors Financial Company Inc. said Friday holders of certain of its convertible senior notes have the option to exercise their conversion rights or require the company to buy back their notes as a result of a change in its corporate ownership structure. Holders of 0.75 percent convertible senior notes due 2011 and 2.125 percent convertible senior notes due 2013 have the right to sell back their notes at a price equal to the full principal plus any unpaid interest. The company said the repurchase rights expire on Dec. 9, with the transactions set to take place on Dec. 10. Investors who opt to convert their notes must surrender them by Dec. 9, the company said. A General Motors Co. subsidiary agreed to acquire Goalie Texas Holdco in July. In the process, General Motors Financial Company, which was formerly known as AmeriCredit Corp., became an indirect subsidiary of General Motors Co. |
