Pension Protection Team Meets with Congressman Sander Levin [June 2, 2010]
GMRA leaders joined other retiree association leaders on June 2 to meet with Rep. Sander Levin at his Roseville, Mich. office to address the need for new legislation that would protect pension plan assets from corporate reversions.
The team urged Levin to assume a leadership role in gaining sponsorship and passage of a Bill or amendment in the House that would protect the pension interests of all retirees with ERISA qualified pension plans.
A follow-up meeting with Congressman Levin is planned for Sept. 14 in Washington DC.
